2017 Collaboration with TechNation
Global Networks worked collaboratively with TechNation which resulted in participation at the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Geneva, Switzerland in December 2017 and in the soft launch of TechWomen.Asia during the IGF2017.
TechWomen.Asia
In partnership with TechNation, Global Networks launched TechWomen.Asia. Mission: Creating a network of women in Asia to increase numbers of women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), business and civil society; to enhance their access to information, education and knowledge, collaboration; and to ensure active representation and participation in policy and decision making.
Fulbright at Asian Management Institute
Fulbright grant to teach about the use of critical discourse analysis for understanding leadership of women at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati, Philippines.
Filipina Women's Network
Maria Beebe continued to work as a Board Member of the Filipina Women's Network (FWN) and was chosen to serve as Chair for 2018.
